I’m buying a compact camera, and need help?

I’m buying a compact camera to my girlfriend, but I don’t know the compact camera market as well.

In my opinion Kodak cameras are not quite what I expected, I bought one a year ago, didn’t like it at all, bad in low light conditions, pictures were dark. They may have gotten better, new models come out constantly.

I currently own a fuji finepix F50fd. love it. You would probably have to get this camera from Newegg or some other online retailer, so if you’re looking to hold something in your hands and see if you like the feel of it and the controls, don’t buy online.

I’ve owned Casio camera’s too. You can find them almost anywhere these days, good quality, fast, easy to use.

I’m not a fan of all the new plastic point and shoot digital cameras. I believe Casio still has some metal cased models, as does Canon.
