Rectangle Headlight
Lighting upgrade.. 98′ Windstar?

Looking to upgrade/add to my vans lighting with the following.
5000K Super White HID(style) headlights
Round or Oval shaped Driving(beam) lights
Rectangle shaped Fog lights

The headlights are just replacement/upgrade for the old ones while the driving and fog light are both universal add ons. The Fog lights will be mounted down wheres the factory lights would be and the Driving lights will be mounted up in the grille area(think like the Stangs are). So does this sound like a good upgrade? No, I’m not nightblinded but I travel in the rural area alot at night and could use the extra light.

My advice is that you change one thing at a time, no not one light at a time but a pair at a time. I understand your problem, I had a similar problem not too long ago and just by adding fog lights made a great improvement especially in edge/side of the road visibility. Personally, I think driving lights are overkill, the high beam alone should be enough once you have installed the upgraded HID headlights. Also, make sure the lenses of your headlamps are clear and not foggy, this can stop a lot of the available light from even getting to the road!

Last items, make sure you wire whatever lights you decide on correctly, and then have them checked for aim, That would be fog lights on only with the low beam, and driving lights on only with the high beam. If what you buy includes a relay, make sure you use it, the factory switches often have trouble with extra current draw and will fail prematurely if you don’t. Last item, make sure everything you install is DOT approved for use on the highway.
