My Rear Projection TV is flashing red, is it the bulb?

Just recently our TV, conveniently a couple weeks after our 1 year warranty expired, has a predominately red hue across the screen that flashes. When the screen is black you can see the red flashing really easy. We looked inside of the TV and we can see the red bulb flickering. Does that mean the bulb needs to be replaced and if so does anyone know how much and where to purchase them? Also, is it something that is easy to do or should I pay to have it done?

I am assuming you have a crt rear projection set. what you are seeing is most like the red tube arcing and probably needs to be replaced. this is not a job for the consumer. the tube will most likely cost you around 300 and probably another 200 in labor so your are looking at $500.
